Tracking 2014 Gun Laws At The State Level

The Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence has issued a new report tracking gun safety laws in all 50 state legislatures. Over 1,300 firearms bills have been introduced at the state level; about half would strengthen gun safety laws and half would weaken them.
Many grassroots organizations have formed in recent years. Now they are making their voices heard and demanding action to reduce gun violence. Some legislators are considering universal background checks on all gun sales; other legislators are working to prevent domestic abusers from acquiring guns, and still others are trying to repeal dangerous “Stand Your Ground” laws.
