Want to stop gun violence? Let’s Rock It To Stop It on September 25!
Join Ceasefire Oregon on Sunday, September 25, from noon to 6 PM, at Pioneer Courthouse Square
LET’S ROCK IT TO STOP IT!
September 25th was designated by Congress as the Day of Remembrance of Murder Victims. In 2007, Congress designated September 25 as the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. And while two out of every three victims are killed with a firearm, the day of “remembrance” is the only thing Congress has done to acknowledge this loss. We are respectful of what the day stands for, but we must demand that our legislators take action to stop this carnage.
- To honor our loved ones taken from us by gun violence.
- To educate people about gun violence in Oregon. (For example, did you know that 85% of all gun deaths in Oregon are suicides? That’s one per day.)
- To raise awareness about what can be done to reduce gun violence–even if Congress won’t act.
Of course, a concert wouldn’t really be a concert without music! If your group wants to sing, share poetry, table, sponsor or just volunteer, email us at 503-451-3630 TODAY or click the links below:
