The Charleston Shooting, Background Checks, and Default Proceeds

Everytown for Gun Safety has some helpful facts on background checks and the Charleton shooting. Due to an NRA-backed amendment to the Brady Bill, the law allows gun sales to proceed after three business days have passed after the check begins, even if background check operators have not confirmed the buyer is legally allowed to have guns.
