Support Vivek Murthy For Surgeon General

The New England Journal of Medicine just ran an excellent editorial supporting Dr. Vivek Murthy’s nomination to be Surgeon General. Dr. Murthy is very highly qualified, but National Rifle Association leaders are blocking his confirmation. Why? Because Dr. Murthy supports reasonable and mainstream gun laws including an assault-weapons ban, limits on ammunition sales, and a requirement that all gun purchasers go through safety training.
