New Report on Loopholes in Washington State Gun Laws

Everytown for Gun Safety just published an investigation of loopholes in Washington State law that make it easy for criminals and domestic abusers to get guns. In Washington, people can go online or to gun shows and buy guns from strangers without a background check, no questions asked.
On just a few websites, over 40,000 of these unlicensed sales take place every year. If Washington State voters pass I-594 in November, a criminal background check would be required for every gun sale in the state. This would help stop those sales and save lives.
